Chanel 5 is a mystery that the whole world has been trying to solve for over 100 years. How did this seemingly ordinary floral fragrance manage to become a true legend and icon of elegance and exquisite French style? Perfumer Olivier Polge, who has been creating masterpieces for the Chanel fashion house since 1978, believes that all the values of the brand's products are encrypted in this perfume, namely simplicity, temptation and modernity.

The massive bottle with a faceted transparent cap and a black logo has not changed for many years. In the same bottle, painted in a light amber-lemon shade, a version of the classic perfume called Chanel 5 L'Eau was presented in 2016. This is a brighter, lighter, sparkling version of the original composition. To create the new fragrance, the May (hundred-petal) centifolia rose was used. It is still hand-picked on the company's own plantations. Aldehydes were used in the composition of the perfume - chemical compounds responsible for a persistent, languid, sweet and expressive sillage. A woody-sweet floral halo, where chords of ylang-ylang and jasmine are guessed, will be appropriate wherever a woman "armed" with this perfume goes. Additional notes of the Chanel 5 L'Eau composition are rich citrus notes (mandarin, lemon, orange and neroli), as well as a fluffy cloud of musk.
